The nomination papers of a total of 11 candidates have been found valid for the first phase of Lok Sabha elections 2024. Chief Electoral Officer Reena Babasaheb Kangale said that a total of 12 candidates had submitted nomination papers in Bastar Lok Sabha constituency. After scrutiny of nomination papers, now 11 candidates are left for election in Bastar Lok Sabha constituency. The last date for withdrawal of nomination for the first phase is 30 March 2024. Let us tell you that voting is to be held in Bastar Lok Sabha constituency on 19 April 2024.

Chief Electoral Officer Reena Kangale said that the process of nomination has started with the release of the notification today for the second phase of Lok Sabha elections. Under the second phase, no candidate has yet filed his nomination papers for Mahasamund, Kanker and Rajnandgaon Lok Sabha constituencies.

Under the second phase, candidates will be able to file nomination papers till April 4, 2024. Scrutiny of nomination papers will take place on April 5 and candidates will be able to withdraw their names till April 8. Voting for the second phase will be held on 26 April 2024.
