Black deer died in jungle safari
Girish Kesharwani-Raipur. After the death of 17 four-horned antelopes in the jungle safari, now reports of mass death of black deer are coming to light. In seven-eight months, the graves of 16 black deer were made here and to hide this, the management hurriedly brought 40 black deer from Kanha Pendari, and this is why the deaths are being kept under wraps. According to documents received through RTI, most of the black deer are said to have died in mutual fights, but the director of the jungle safari has said that symptoms of TB have been found in the black deer. According to the news, as of January there were a total of 36 black deer in the safari.
The black deer died between January and 28 July. In this sense, one-third of the black deer living in the jungle safari have died within eight months. After this, the safari management sought permission from CZA to bring 40 black deer from Kanha Pendari Zoo in Bilaspur. CZA gave permission on 20 July. After getting permission from CZA, the safari management hurriedly sent a team to bring black deer from Bilaspur Zoo within a week. Even after bringing black deer from Bilaspur Zoo, their deaths in the jungle safari are not stopping. Four black deer have died between 16 August and 29 August. Of these, one black deer died in the zoo and three died in the open safari. According to sources, the number of black deer deaths in the safari is more than 16.

No action even after the instructions of the Speaker
It is worth noting that after the incident of mass death of four-horned antelopes in the jungle safari, the matter was raised in the assembly as well, then the assembly speaker Dr. Raman Singh had ordered action against the guilty doctor. Even after the order of the assembly speaker, no action has been taken against the doctor till now. After this, the incident of death of black deer has come to light.

In such a situation, the incidents of serial deaths of black deer in the safari are raising questions on the functioning of the safari management.
