Raipur. As soon as he took charge of the new government in Chhattisgarh, Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai has started initiatives to strengthen the state’s economy as well as to bring the light of development to the forest areas, to bring transparency and good governance in the administration. New camps are being expanded in the interior areas of the Bastar region. The ‘Niyad Nellnar’ scheme has been started. The meaning of this word is ‘Your good village’. It has been started for the beneficiaries of special backward tribes. Like the ‘PM Janman Yojana’, this scheme is providing the benefit of 53 beneficiary-oriented schemes of 17 departments and 28 community facilities to the people living in the forest areas in the villages within a radius of five kilometers near the camps.
The result of this initiative is that the guarantees given to the people of the state by Prime Minister Narendra Modi are being implemented rapidly. After Modi became the Prime Minister for the third time, a double engine government is working in the state. As soon as Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai took over the reins of the state, a new environment for development has been created in the state again. Sai believes that the basic mantra of democracy is good governance. True democracy cannot be imagined without good governance.
The state government has decided to provide an annual assistance of Rs 10,000 to landless farmers under the Deen Dayal Upadhyay Krishi Mazdoor Kalyan Yojana. The state government has decided to distribute free food grains to 68 lakh Antyodaya and priority ration card holders for the next 5 years. Fulfilling its promises, the state government purchased paddy from farmers at the rate of Rs 3100 per quintal and 21 quintals per acre. A record 145 lakh metric tonnes of paddy was purchased in the state. Due to agriculture-friendly policies in the state, farming has regained its vibrancy and smiles are visible on the faces of farmers.
As soon as Chief Minister Sai, who has a gentle and simple personality, took over the reins of the state, he started working on the guarantees given to the people of Chhattisgarh by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and fulfilled most of the guarantees in just 8 months. Fulfilling the guarantees given to the people in such a short time is a sign of his administrative efficiency and successful leadership. Under the leadership of the Chief Minister, many public welfare decisions have been taken in the short span of 8 months and many steps have been taken for the progress and prosperity of every section of the society. The popularity graph of the government is rising rapidly. The state government is serving the people day and night with the motto of Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas and Sabka Prayas.
Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai Government started Mahtari Vandan Yojana to fulfill another guarantee. Women power has an important role in shaping and improving Chhattisgarh. About 70 lakh women of the state are getting benefits from Mahtari Vandan Yojana. On December 25, the birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Bharat Ratna Late Atal Bihari, Good Governance Day, the difference amount of Rs 3 thousand 716 crore for the bonus due for two years of paddy was transferred to the bank accounts of about 13 lakh farmers of the state.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi had said that those who play with the future of the youth will not be spared. The Chief Minister, while promptly implementing this guarantee of Modi, has handed over the task of investigating the irregularities and malpractices in the State Civil Services Examination (PSC) 2021 during the tenure of the previous government to the CBI. Keeping in view the public interest, the state government also handed over the Mahadev Satta App case to the CBI. Apart from this, it has also been decided to get the CBI to investigate the Biranpur case of Bemetara district. Vishnu Dev Government has started the Ramlala Darshan Yojana in accordance with Modi’s guarantee. This is a unique and exemplary scheme in India. In this scheme, devotees are being given darshan of Ayodhya Dham at government expense. Lord Ram’s maternal home is considered to be Chhattisgarh. Due to this, he is more revered by us. Every citizen of Chhattisgarh is eager to see his nephew Ram.
Within a few hours of taking oath, Chief Minister Sai decided to provide permanent houses to 18 lakh families under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. Prime Minister Modi has started Jal Jeevan Mission to provide pure drinking water to everyone along with housing. A budget of Rs 4,500 crore has been kept for its implementation in the state. A target was set to provide tap connections to 50 lakh rural families in Chhattisgarh. Out of this, tap connections have been provided to 39 lakh 31 thousand families. It has been decided to implement Shaheed Veernarayan Singh Health Scheme along with Ayushman Bharat-Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana in the state. Through these two schemes, 77 lakh 20 thousand families of Chhattisgarh are getting the benefit of free health services up to Rs 5 lakh. The state government has increased the remuneration rate of tendu leaf collectors in the state from Rs 4000 per standard sack to Rs 5500. This year, Rs 855 crore 80 lakh has been paid to 13 lakh 5 thousand tendu leaf collectors.
The number of seats for candidates preparing for UPSC in the Youth Hostel run by the Tribal and Scheduled Caste Department in New Delhi has been increased from 50 to 185. Like the Nalanda campus in the capital Raipur, a fully equipped library will be built in 13 more urban bodies of the state. Medical education is being continuously expanded to strengthen health facilities in the state. It has been decided to start Chhattisgarh Institute of Medical Science (CIMS) on the lines of AIIMS at the divisional level. To provide employment to the youth on a large scale and to give a boost to the economy, the new industrial policy of the state will be implemented on 1 November 2024. Nava Raipur is being developed as an IT hub and innovation hub by the state government. Like the National Capital Region (NCR), the state government is also going to develop the State Capital Region. The state government has decided to provide interest-free loan with 50 percent subsidy to enterprising youth through Chhattisgarh Udyam Kranti Yojana, so that the youth can get maximum opportunities.
