Scindia targeted Rahul Gandhi on reservation, said: BJP worships Ambedkar

The Uncut

Gwalior. Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia on Thursday attacked Rahul Gandhi, claiming that the Congress leader has talked about ending reservation while the BJP worships Dalit icon Dr. Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar like a god.
The BJP has alleged that Gandhi is against reservation for Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Classes after he told students at an American university that when India becomes a good place, the Congress will think about abolishing it, but at present it is not so.

Scindia told reporters here that the Congress leader has made his party’s views on reservation very clear on foreign soil. He said that Rahul Gandhi ji has said that if the Congress comes to power, it will end the reservation (given by Dr. Ambedkar). Scindia, who was a close aide of Gandhi for years, joined the BJP in 2020 and was later made a Union minister.

Responding to a question, Scindia claimed, “I want to caution my brothers and sisters of the Dalit and tribal community. If the Congress comes to power, it will insult them in the same way it insulted Baba Saheb Ambedkar when he was alive.” He said that the Congress defeated Dr. Ambedkar, the chief architect of the Indian Constitution, in the elections and celebrated the victory. He said that whenever the BJP formed the government under the leadership of Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee or Narendra Modi, it worshipped Dr. Ambedkar like a god.

Scindia, a descendant of the erstwhile Gwalior royal family, said Prime Minister Modi is working for the development of Dalits and tribals and the Union Cabinet has approved a project worth Rs 80 thousand crore for the development of every tribal village in the country.
He said that but Rahul Gandhi ji said on foreign soil that his party will end reservation. He said, “I appeal to the brothers and sisters of the Dalit and tribal community to wake up and move forward with us and face the Congress, which is nearing its end.”
