Case registered against two people including SP leader for kidnapping of girl

Baliya: In Ballia, Uttar Pradesh, a case has been registered against two people including Samajwadi Party (SP) leader and former District Cooperative Bank President Acharya Shambhu Nath Yadav on charges of kidnapping of a girl. Deputy Superintendent of Police of Rasra area Mohammad Fahim Qureshi said on Monday that on the complaint of the father of a 22-year-old girl resident of a village in Ubhaon police station area, a case has been registered against SP leader and former president of District Cooperative Bank Acharya Shambhu Nath Yadav and Pankaj Yadav alias Arpit. A case has been registered.

Citing the FIR registered in this case, he said that the complainant claims that his daughter had gone to the house of Acharya Shambhu Nath Yadav on September 25 and since then he is missing. It has been alleged in the FIR that Pankaj Yadav alias Arpit, with the help of Shambhu Nath Yadav, kidnapped the girl.

Qureshi said that it has also been alleged in the complaint that Acharya Shambhu Nath Yadav has a criminal background and the complainant fears that his daughter might be murdered. He said that the police have registered a case and are investigating the matter. SP’s district unit spokesperson Sushil Pandey has admitted that Acharya Shambhu Nath Yadav is a leader of SP and has been the president of the District Cooperative Bank.
