Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Monday accused the Narendra Modi government of working for industrialists and claimed that “like a tsunami comes, money keeps coming into Gautam Adani’s bank account” while the common man continues to struggle. . He claimed that Congress will form the government in Haryana and bring change.
Addressing a rally in Narayangarh in Ambala district, former Congress President Rahul Gandhi said that the fight is between Congress and BJP and their ideologies. He said, “On one side there is justice and on the other side there is injustice.” Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and senior Haryana Congress leaders Bhupendra Singh Hooda and Kumari Selja were also present during the rally.
Targeting the BJP government, Rahul Gandhi said that this government belongs to big industrialists. He said, “We do not want such a government in Haryana, but a government of farmers, laborers and the poor.” Referring to his recent visit to America, the former Congress president said that he met some migrants from Haryana who had gone there in search of a better future as they were not getting employment opportunities in their home state. The Congress leader said that it is important to see how much money is coming into the pockets of poor and common people and how much is going out.
Rahul Gandhi said, “You have to ask whether more money is going out of your pocket or more money is coming into your pocket?” He claimed, “Think about Adani ji. He wakes up in the morning, does not work in the fields, does not plow, does not do small business, eats good food, lives in a luxurious house and money keeps coming into his bank account 24 hours a day, without any stop. “Like a tsunami, money keeps coming into their bank accounts.” He said, while money is flowing out of the bank accounts of common people “like a storm”.
Rahul Gandhi claimed that Congress protects the interests of farmers, poor and laborers, while BJP benefits big industrialists. He said that the BJP government says that laws have been made for the benefit of farmers. He said, “If laws have been made for farmers, then why are the farmers on the streets in the country? Because the farmer knows that money will be taken out of his pocket in another way.” The Congress leader said that in the name of development, land of farmers and poor is being taken, but have you ever heard that land of industrialists has been taken.
Referring to the problems of farmers, Rahul Gandhi said that they are not given the right price for their produce and then when they think of joining the army, they have to face the Agneepath scheme. He said, “This is not Agniveer Yojana, this is a way of snatching the pension of soldiers. An ordinary soldier gets pension throughout his life. Agniveer will not get pension. “It means that money has been snatched from their pockets.” Without naming parties like INLD and JJP, Rahul Gandhi claimed that the “remote control” of small parties is in the hands of BJP.
