Happy to be working in the film industry even after 20 years: Riteish Deshmukh

Mumbai. Actor-producer Riteish Deshmukh has been working in films for the last two decades and he says he is still happy with his presence in the film industry. The actor, who started his career with ‘Tujhe Meri Kasam’ in 2003, has worked in Hindi films ‘Ek Villain’, ‘Bluffmaster!’ And created a distinct place for himself in the film industry with ‘Housefull’ and ‘Masti’. He played the role of producer with ‘Balak Palak’ in 2013 and director with the film ‘Ved’ in 2022. Both are Marathi films.
Ritesh Deshmukh is the son of late Maharashtra Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh. He said that he did not come into the film industry with any expectations.

Deshmukh said in an interview to ‘PTI Bhasha’, “I was happy with whatever offer was given to me. I didn’t come to make a career in the industry. It was as if I had received an offer, and had to see how it went. I am happy to receive love from the industry and the audience. It’s been two decades and I’m still working.” The actor said, “I am happy that producers and directors still consider my name. This industry has given me the strength to do films, become a producer and direct films (in Marathi).” He said that hopefully he will direct a Hindi film soon. Deshmukh will next be seen in ‘Housefull 5’. He said that he is in a ‘great phase’ of his career.
