New Delhi. Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday said the ‘PM Gatishakti National Master Plan’ (PMGS-NMP) has emerged as a transformative initiative that aims to revolutionize India’s infrastructure and drive faster and more efficient growth across all sectors. Anubhuti Center showcases the key features, achievements and milestones of PMGS-NMP and was launched on October 13, 2021 to provide ‘Multi-Modal Connectivity’ infrastructure to various economic sectors. Modi said in a post on ‘X’, “PM Gatishakti National Master Plan has emerged as a transformative initiative aimed at revolutionizing India’s infrastructure. “It has significantly enhanced multimodal connectivity, leading to faster and more effective development across sectors.” He said the seamless integration of various stakeholders has boosted logistics, reduced delays and created new opportunities for many.

The Prime Minister said, “Due to momentum, India is moving rapidly towards fulfilling our dream of a developed India. “It will encourage progress, entrepreneurship and innovation.” Modi visited the PM Gatishakti Anubhuti Kendra at Bharat Mandapam and appreciated the progress made in planning and implementation of projects across the country due to the impact of PM Gatishakti. He appreciated its adoption in various sectors, which is accelerating the fulfillment of the dream of a developed India.

Later in the evening, Modi said in another post on ” He said, “PM Gatishakti has played an important role in accelerating the journey of India’s infrastructure development. “It is making great use of technology to ensure that projects are completed on time and any potential challenges are minimized.”

Officials informed that using the National Master Plan, line ministries and departments identified 156 infrastructure deficiencies related to first and last mile connectivity issues of key sectors of the economy such as coal, steel, fertiliser, ports, food and public distribution etc. Have also identified. Officials said that the Railway Ministry has planned more than 400 railway projects and 27,000 km of rail lines in just one year.

He said the Network Planning Group (NPG) is coordinating efforts between ministries to ensure integrated infrastructure development. He said that with 81 NPG meetings, 213 projects worth Rs 15.48 lakh crore have been evaluated. Through PM Gatishakti, connectivity gaps at the destination are being assessed to ensure seamless movement.

Officials said it truly embodies the ‘whole of government’ approach, which already includes 1529 ‘data layers’ belonging to 44 ministries of the central government and 36 states and union territories. He said regional workshops and capacity building initiatives have helped in its widespread adoption. He said that along with infrastructure development, there is also emphasis on social sector and 45 lakh PVTGs (Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups) (11 lakh Family) has been mapped.

PM Gatishakti is helping in effective planning of locations of Anganwadi centers and also helping in focusing on those centers where nutritional needs are greater. More than 10 lakh Anganwadi centers have been mapped on the National Master Plan. Officials said it has also been used to identify key industries in districts, so that district-specific skill courses can be provided by schools.

PM Shree Vidyalayas have been mapped on the PM Gatishakti portal, so that other nearby schools can be identified on the basis of geospatial information, so that other nearby schools can also be connected. Officials said the PM Gatishakti framework has been presented at various international forums to promote international cooperation. Officials said international cooperation is being promoted and work is underway on MoUs on knowledge sharing with Nepal, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka.

The Prime Minister also visited the ODOP Anubhuti Center and appreciated the progress made by the ODOP initiative in helping in the selection, branding and promotion of products in various districts across the country. Earlier, Modi also tagged Union Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal on the post on ‘X’. Goyal appreciated this initiative on completion of three years.

Goyal said, “Today, three years have been completed since Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the PM Gatishakti National Master Plan for multimodal connectivity. “By streamlining logistics and enhancing connectivity, this pioneering initiative ensures faster and more efficient project implementation.” He said that it is playing an important role in developing a modern, interconnected infrastructure network, strengthening the vision of building a developed India.
