New Delhi: Indian Railways has changed the rules of train ticket booking. According to the latest notification of Railways, now passengers will not have to wait for 120 days, i.e. four months, to book tickets.

According to the new rule, now passengers will be able to book IRCTC train tickets only 60 days before the journey. This new rule of Indian Railways will come into effect from November 1, 2024.

It has been said in the notification that the new rules for advance train ticket booking will not have any impact on already booked tickets. All bookings made under 120 days ARP till October 31, 2024 will remain intact.

There will be no changes in these trains

Railways has also said that it will not have any impact on express trains like Taj which run for a few days. The time limit for advance reservation in Express, Gomti Express etc. is reduced. There is also no change in the case of 365 days limit for foreign tourists.
