BSE, NSE will organize Diwali ‘Muhurat Trading’ on November 1

The Uncut

New Delhi. Major stock exchanges BSE and NSE will organize a special one-hour ‘Muhurat Trading’ session on November 1 on the occasion of Diwali. This will mark the beginning of the new Samvat 2081. The stock exchanges said in separate circulars that the indicative trading session will be held between 6 and 7 pm. This season also marks the beginning of a new samvat (Hindu calendar year starting from Diwali). Doing business during ‘Muhurta’ or ‘auspicious hours’ is believed to bring prosperity and financial growth for the stakeholders.

The market will be closed for regular business on Diwali, but a special trading window will be open for one hour in the evening.
The stock exchanges have announced that the pre-opening session will be from 5:45 to 6:00 pm. Market analysts said that Diwali is considered the ideal time to start anything new. It is believed that investors get profit from trading during this session throughout the year.
