Congress leader Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury confirmed my comment on Adani-Ambani: Prime Minister Modi

The Uncut

Bhubaneswar. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that the fight against corruption is very important and investigating agencies should be allowed to do their work without interference. His ‘Adani-Ambani’ comment, he said in an interview to PTI, was also confirmed by senior Congress leader Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury, when he “admitted” that if they (the two businessmen) ” Notes” then he (Chaudhary) will not speak against them (Adani-Ambani).

Prime Minister Modi had alleged for the first time on May 8 during the ongoing Lok Sabha elections that Congress has nexus with “Ambani and Adani”. Also, he had questioned whether the party (Congress) had received “tempo-full notes” so that its leader Rahul Gandhi would stop abusing them (the two businessmen).

Asked about the comment that surprised people, Modi said, “In the last few years, the main gimmick of the Congress’s ‘Prince’ campaign has been to strike the same chord about both the individuals. And suddenly, when the elections started, the main publicity stunt changed. Why did this sudden change happen?” The Prime Minister said, “My point was immediately confirmed by no one else but the leader of the Congress in the Lok Sabha. Adhir Ranjan Chaudhary admitted that if Adani-Ambani send notes full of tempo, he will not speak against them. He also said that as far as the Enforcement Directorate (ED) and the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) are concerned, these agencies work completely independently.

Modi said, “He has done excellent work in dealing with the cases of corruption and black money. Before 2014, ED had seized only Rs 5,000 crore. During my tenure, assets worth Rs 1 lakh crore were attached. We should allow our agencies to do their work without interference.” Bringing a change in the discourse on the ‘Ambani-Adani’ issue, which has so far been used by the Congress to attack Modi and his government at the Centre, the Prime Minister had earlier demanded that the party should explain why it had stopped raising the issue. Gave, whereas its “princes” had been doing this for the last five years. The Prime Minister asked whether it (Congress) has made any deal.

Congress has been accusing the Prime Minister of supporting the country’s top five industrialists including Gautam Adani and Mukesh Ambani. In an interview given to an online forum, Choudhary was asked whether he speaks against Adani and Ambani, to which he said, “Yes, I speak because they do not send us money. If they send, people will become silent.” When asked whether he would shut up after getting the money, Choudhary had said laughingly, “First let them send it, then we will consider.”
