Late on Monday night, the Mumbai Traffic Police control room located in Worli area received this threatening message. The police officer said that the sender of the message claimed that he was the brother of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi.
According to the message, “If Salman Khan wants to stay alive then he should come to our (Bishnoi community) temple and apologize or give Rs 5 crore. If they do not do so, we will kill them, our gang is still active.” The officer said that taking the message seriously, the security officer on duty informed the higher authorities and Worli Police. He said the police are also investigating whether the message is linked to Lawrence Bishnoi, who is lodged in Gujarat’s Sabarmati jail on various charges including attempt to murder and extortion. Earlier too, Salman Khan had received a threatening message and money was demanded from him.
On October 29, a person had sent a threatening message on the traffic police’s WhatsApp helpline number, threatening to kill Khan and Maharashtra Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader Zeeshan Siddiqui if he did not pay Rs 2 crore. Was. Zeeshan Siddiqui’s father Baba Siddiqui was shot dead by three gunmen in Bandra area on October 12.
An official had earlier said that on October 30, the police had arrested a resident of Bandra (West), where Khan also lives. In this connection, the police had also recovered the mobile phone and SIM card used in the crime. Early last month, the WhatsApp helpline desk of the Mumbai Traffic Police had received a threatening message demanding Rs 5 crore from the actor. After this, the police arrested a person from Jamshedpur, Jharkhand in connection with the threatening message.
Last month, Mumbai Police had also arrested a man from Noida, Uttar Pradesh, who had allegedly threatened to kill Khan and Zeeshan Siddiqui. Salman Khan had earlier also received death threats from Lawrence Bishnoi gang. In April this year, suspected members of a dangerous gang had opened fire outside the actor’s Bandra house. A few months ago, Navi Mumbai Police had exposed the conspiracy to murder Khan hatched by the Bishnoi gang, after which his security was increased.
