Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge and Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday congratulated Donald Trump on his victory in the US presidential election and wished him a successful tenure. Kharge said, ‘We look forward to working together with the United States for global peace and prosperity.’ Rahul Gandhi also wished Kamala Harris, the Democratic Party candidate in the presidential elections, all the best for her future.
Former US President Donald Trump on Wednesday won the country’s presidential election for the second time, which is being called the biggest political comeback of any leader in American history. Trump defeated his Democratic rival Kamala Harris in a tough election contest.
Kharge posted on ‘X’, “On behalf of the Indian National Congress, we congratulate and best wishes to President Donald Trump for his election victory. “India and the United States have a strong comprehensive global strategic partnership, based on long-shared democratic values, shared interests, and close people-to-people ties.”
