Raipur. Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai participated in the Chhath Mahaparva program organized at Mahadev Ghat in the capital Raipur this evening. On this occasion, Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai wished everyone a happy Chhath festival and said that Surya Aradhana, Chhath Puja is a festival to connect humans with nature. Chief Minister Sai also participated in the Mangal Aarti of Chhathi Maiya on the banks of river Kharun. The program was organized by Chhath festival organizing committee Mahadev Ghat.
While addressing the program, Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai said that I feel very fortunate to be attending this program of Chhath festival. I congratulate the organizing committee very much for organizing this grand event. Worshipers wait for the festival of Chhath throughout the year. On this great festival, people from far and wide, no matter where they live and work, come to participate in Chhath Puja. The government also makes arrangements for special rail transport etc. on Chhath.
Chief Minister Sai said that a strict fast is observed in this festival of worship of Sun God. Our mothers and sisters observe waterless fast. Chhath festival also connects us with nature. Chhath is worshiped at ghats near water sources like rivers, ponds etc. In this way, during this festival we come closer to nature. On the occasion of Chhath festival, we should take a pledge to conserve and improve our water sources like rivers and ponds.
The Chief Minister said that today I would also like to pay tribute to the late singer Mrs. Sharda Sinha. Our entire generation has heard his Chhath songs. I pray to Chhathi Maiya and Sun God for the happiness, prosperity and prosperity of all the people of Chhattisgarh.
