New Delhi. Veteran composer AR Rahman has been honored with the ‘Trophy’ at the ‘Hollywood Music in Media Awards (HMMA)-2024’ for the music of the Malayalam film ‘The Goat Life’. The Oscar-winning composer was honored with the award in the Music – Independent Film (Foreign Language) category at a ceremony held at the Avalon Theater in Los Angeles on Wednesday.
Blessy, director of Prithviraj Sukumaran starrer ‘The Goat Life’, received the award on behalf of Rahman at the ceremony.
Rahman said in a video message after winning the award, “It is an incredible honor to receive this award for Best Music for the Foreign Language Film ‘The Goat Life’. I am very grateful to the Hollywood Music and Media Awards for recognizing this music. “The musician said of ‘The Goat Life’ which is based on Benjamin’s 2008 novel.
