BJP again targets Kejriwal in Maliwal case

The Uncut

New Delhi. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Wednesday claimed that the disappearance of CCTV footage from the Delhi Chief Minister’s residence and the arrest of Bibhav Kumar in the case related to Swati Maliwal shows the involvement of Arvind Kejriwal and his efforts to save his colleague.

Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant and BJP national spokesperson Sudhanshu Trivedi, in a joint press conference held at the party headquarters, launched a fresh attack on the Delhi Chief Minister on this issue and accused him of trying to compromise on Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MP Maliwal. Are putting pressure. Rejecting AAP’s allegations that BJP was behind this entire incident, Sawant told reporters that Maliwal is an old aide of Kejriwal and she herself filed a police case against Kumar for physically harassing her at the Chief Minister’s residence. Is.

Sawant, who reached the national capital to campaign for his party in the Lok Sabha elections, said that people everywhere are questioning Kejriwal’s silence on the issue. Terming AAP as an ‘anti-Delhi, anti-women party’, he said that their silence speaks volumes in itself. Trivedi said Kejriwal claimed that his government would ensure widespread deployment of CCTV in every part of the city. Taking a dig at the Chief Minister, Trivedi said that even his residence does not have this facility.

The BJP MP also referred to the Delhi High Court’s critical comments on former Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia for his alleged role in the excise case while hearing the AAP’s bail plea. Trivedi told reporters that the court said Sisodia was involved in serious abuse of power and breach of trust and added that the integrity of the decision-making process was compromised.

Trivedi claimed that AAP is not making any efforts to get Sisodia released on bail for the campaign, but is making every possible effort to help Kejriwal’s aide Kumar. He said Kumar does not hold any post in the party, but perhaps he knows important secrets of AAP. Kumar is in five-day police custody in connection with the alleged attack on Maliwal at the Delhi Chief Minister’s residence last week.
