Kozhikode. Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy said here on Monday that people of other states in India should emulate the people of Kerala in marginalising communal forces. Reddy said that whenever he came to Kerala, he learnt a lesson on how to stop communal forces from entering his state.
Reddy addressed the annual meeting of ‘Snehasdas’ organised by Congress ally Indian Union Muslim League (IUML). He congratulated the party led by Panakkad Syed Sadiq Ali Shihab Thangal for organising such an event at a time when some people are trying to divide this country and open shops of hatred in the market of love. Under ‘Snehasdas’, members of different communities come together on one platform and show their harmony and love.
The Telangana chief minister said communal forces wanting to divide the country and change its constitution are trying hard to enter Kerala but the people here have not allowed them to enter. “Kerala is a role model for India,” Reddy said. He said the Congress-led United Democratic Front (UDF) in Kerala is a role model for the ‘India’ alliance in the country.
Accusing Prime Minister Narendra Modi of thinking and working like a ‘king’, he said that speaking for a particular community and against a particular community just to win elections is not in keeping with the dignity of the post of Prime Minister.
The Telangana chief minister said, “If communal forces win this time, it will be dangerous for our country, dangerous for our Constitution and dangerous for reservation.” He said the BJP is talking of 400-plus seats only to change the Constitution and abolish SC and OBC reservation.
Reddy said, “People gave Modi two chances but he failed to do anything for the people. So this time people will defeat him.” He said that BJP is going to get only half the seats in the states where it won during the last Parliament elections and if it wants more seats, it will have to go to Pakistan and contest elections. He said, “South India is going to give 100 seats to the ‘India’ alliance. NDA will not get a single seat in Kerala and Tamil Nadu.”
