Rahul Gandhi making baseless allegations on stock market to mislead investors: BJP

New Delhi. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Thursday termed as baseless the allegations made by Congress leader Rahul Gandhi that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah were “directly involved in the biggest stock market scam”.
The BJP hit back, accusing Gandhi of conspiring to mislead investors.

Senior BJP leader Piyush Goyal said at a press conference here that Rahul is making such allegations out of frustration after the opposition’s defeat in the Lok Sabha elections while Prime Minister Narendra Modi is working to make India the third largest economy.

Gandhi has alleged that Prime Minister Modi and Shah are ‘directly involved’ in the ‘biggest stock market scam’. According to him, retail investors have suffered a loss of Rs 30 lakh crore in this. Goyal said, “This is baseless.” He said, “Rahul Gandhi is hatching a conspiracy to mislead investors in frustration after the defeat of the opposition.
