Raipur. Today, a new chapter of development will be written in Surguja area from the lap of nature. A meeting of Surguja Area Tribal Development Authority is being organized today under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai at Mayali, a famous tourist destination of Jashpur district. On reaching Khadsa View Point, Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai and all the guests were welcomed by wearing traditional bamboo cap and garland of Dumbar fruits and mango leaves amidst Karma dance and tunes of traditional musical instruments Dhank and Nagada. Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai, attending the meeting from Khadsa View Point, reached the meeting venue by boat at Mayali Dam along with all the guests, admiring the beauty of Mayali Nature Camp.
Attending the meeting with Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai were Health Minister Shyam Bihari Jaiswal, Revenue Minister Tank Ram Verma, Vice Chairman Surguja Area Tribal Development Authority Gomti Sai, MP Raigarh Radheshyam Rathiya, MLA Jashpur Raimuni Bhagat, Ram Pratap Singh, Krishna Kumar Rai, Chief Minister K. Secretary P Dayanand, Commissioner GR Churendra, IG Ankit Garg, Collector Dr Ravi Mittal, SP Shashimohan Singh also arrived.

From the Nature Camp, one can see the beauty of the dam on one side and a panoramic view of Madheshwar mountain, the largest natural Shivling, on the other side. The greenery spread all around further enhances its beauty. Along with inclusion of Mayali Nature Camp in Swadesh Darshan Scheme, the Tourism Department has approved Rs 10 crore for the development of Mayali.

Nature’s unique gift Mayali is situated in the lap of picturesque hills of Jashpur. Here Mayali Nature Camp is located in Kunkuri block of the district, close to the Charidand garden state highway. A large number of tourists come with their families to the natural place full of greenery on the banks of the dam. More crowd of people gather in Mayali during weekends. Boating facility is also available in Mayali Nature Camp.
