A player never loses, he either wins or learns: Arun Sao

The Uncut

Raipur. Deputy Chief Minister Arun Saw attended the closing ceremony of the 24th state level school sports competition in Bilaspur today as the chief guest. He presented trophies to the winning teams and players. The state level school sports competition was organized at the Police Ground in Bilaspur from September 21. Chief guest Saw announced the closing of the competition by lowering the sports flag. Bilaspur was the overall champion in this competition in which all five divisions of the state participated. Bilha MLA Dharamlal Kaushik, Beltara MLA Sushant Shukla and Bilaspur District Panchayat President Arun Singh Chauhan also attended the closing ceremony as special guests.

Addressing the program, Deputy Chief Minister Arun Sao said that there is no dearth of sports talent in Chhattisgarh. Chhattisgarh has players capable of making their mark at the national and international level. A player never loses… either he wins or learns. Our Prime Minister Narendra Modi is working to promote sports through ‘Khelo India’. By sweating on the sports field, one can achieve everything – respect, honour, wealth, fame. He told the school players that they should continue to play with the same passion in the future and bring glory to themselves, their family, school and the state. The one who stays firm in every situation, keeps working hard to achieve his goal, goes ahead and waves the flag of achievement.

In the closing ceremony of the state level school sports competition, MLA Dharamlal Kaushik said that Chhattisgarh is already known as the “rice bowl”. After this, if Chhattisgarh is known in any field, then we want it to be in the field of sports. If our state’s name shines in the field of sports at the national and international level, then it is necessary that the foundation is strong, and this event is an important initiative to strengthen that foundation. Earlier our elders used to tell us that if you study and write, you will become a Nawab, if you play and jump, you will be spoiled. But now you will not only become a Nawab by studying, you can also become a Nawab by playing and go beyond that. In the closing ceremony, wonderful cultural programs were also presented by school girls in honor of the players.
