Jammu. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said on Thursday that if the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) comes to power in Jammu and Kashmir, PoK will also become a part of Jammu and Kashmir. He said that Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) is raising a loud voice for separation from Pakistan. He said that people from different parts of the world have seen how peaceful elections are being held in Jammu and Kashmir in a festive atmosphere and the current government has created this atmosphere.
Adityanath said at a rally in RS Pura area, “After the BJP comes to power through peaceful elections, Pakistan-occupied Kashmir is also going to become a part of Jammu and Kashmir. There is uproar in Pakistan, they are struggling to save their democracy.” Taking a dig at Pakistan, the Chief Minister said that “the country is breaking up.” Adityanath said, “Pakistan has failed to protect its democracy. Flour in Pakistan is now Rs 500 per kg, while Prime Minister Narendra Modi provides free ration and free health care up to Rs five lakh to 80 crore Indians. Pakistan is sinking, but India is moving ahead. Pakistan is a sinking ship.”
He said, “On one side there is India and on the other side there is Pakistan, there is shortage of food there, naturally beggar Pakistan is not able to handle itself today. Pakistan-occupied Kashmir is raising its voice for separation from it. It is saying that we also have the right to participate in the elections of Jammu and Kashmir. You have to give a good message through elections.” Attacking Pakistan, the senior BJP leader said that Balochistan is saying that ‘our chemistry’ does not match with Pakistan. He said, “Pakistan is the enemy of humanity, it is cancer for humanity. The world should be free from this cancer.” Addressing rallies in Jammu’s Chhamb, RS Pura and Ramgarh as part of the BJP’s campaign, Adityanath said that the huge number of voters in the voting so far has shown that they have rejected the dynastic rulers and their divisive politics.
Adityanath attacked the Congress for entering into a pre-poll alliance with the National Conference. He asked the Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, to clarify whether he and his party support the restoration of Article 370, release of prisoners and other issues included in the manifesto of the National Conference.
He said, “I want to ask Congress leader Rahul Gandhi whether he supports the National Conference’s decision to have a separate flag for Jammu and Kashmir? Does Rahul Gandhi support the National Conference’s demand to bring back Article 370 and 35A and push Jammu and Kashmir into an era of unrest and terrorism? Does the Congress support promoting separatism again by talking to Pakistan at the cost of the youth of Kashmir?” The Chief Minister accused the National Conference, People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and Congress of “ruining Jammu and Kashmir for 70 years”.
Adityanath said, “It was the Modi government that gave voting rights to the refugees and Valmiki people of West Pakistan, who were deprived of these rights by the previous governments of Jammu and Kashmir.” He also referred to the time when the BJP needed permission to hoist the tricolor at Lal Chowk, saying, “Today, the national flag flies high there.”
