New Delhi. A Delhi court will hear arguments on November 12 in the case against Congress leader Jagdish Tytler in connection with the killing of three people in north Delhi’s Pul Bangash area during the 1984 anti-Sikh riots. Special Judge Jitendra Singh was scheduled to hear the case on Tuesday and he adjourned the hearing after being informed that the accused’s lawyer was unwell.
He said, “The counsel for the accused has said that the lead counsel/his father is not well… hence he has requested for a short adjournment. The complainant’s lawyer has opposed the adjournment. “In the interest of justice, the counsel for the accused is given an opportunity because of his personal difficulty.” Tytler is currently on bail in this case and he appeared in the court. In August last year, a sessions court had granted him anticipatory bail in this case. CBI had filed the charge sheet against Tytler in this case on May 20, 2023.
