Raipur. In a program organized at Chhattisgarh State Power Company Headquarters, Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai presented appointment letters to the selected junior engineers. He announced to give bonus/exgratia up to Rs 12 thousand to electrical workers before Diwali. Also launched ‘Mera Ghar-PM Suryaghar’ public awareness campaign. Under the Prime Minister Suryaghar Free Electricity Scheme, a target was given to install rooftop solar plants in 5 lakh houses in the state by the year 2027.

On this occasion, the Chief Minister said that this festival of Diwali is a festival of lights, a festival of distributing lights, and who can be a better “distributor of lights” than electrical workers. He said that I know that your work increases a lot during Diwali, but on every such occasion you have discharged your responsibilities very beautifully. This time also I hope the same from you. He said that in accordance with Prime Minister Modi’s call for a developed India, we have also resolved to build a developed Chhattisgarh. We have to build a strong economy by strengthening the infrastructure of the state. In the coming days, there will be rapid progress in the agriculture and industry sectors of the state. In such a situation we will need even more energy.

Chief Minister Sai said that the power companies of the state will have more responsibilities in the coming times, keeping this in mind the state government is committed to providing all the necessary resources to all the companies. It is clear from the appointment of 375 junior engineers that there will be no shortage of officers and employees in the power companies in future also. The Chief Minister said that they are also distributing name plates to be installed in front of the houses of the beneficiaries. This is not just a name plate of those who have benefited from the scheme. This is also the name plate of the electricity producers of the state. They will not only generate electricity for their needs but will also become electricity sellers by selling the excess electricity. He said that under this scheme in the state, a target has been set to illuminate five lakh houses by the year 2027. Along with this, employment will be created on a large scale in the field of solar panel supply, installation and manufacturing.

Chief Minister Sai said that with increased use of solar energy, the pressure on production through traditional methods will also reduce and we will continue to move towards adopting green energy. He said that we will increasingly adopt solar energy in government buildings and public places. Irrigation facilities are being provided to the farmers through more than 1.5 lakh agricultural pumps in the state. Solar energy has also been used for drinking water in rural areas.

The welcome speech was given by Dr. Rohit Yadav, Chairman of Power Companies. He said that the power company is working with new energy. In such a situation, the work of consumer service can be further improved with the new appointment. Program Chairman MP Brijmohan Aggarwal said that the cashless health scheme implemented in the power company is quite commendable, Aggarwal also congratulated Chairman Dr. Rohit Yadav for this.
