Raipur. Women and Child Development and Social Welfare Minister Laxmi Rajwade attended the ‘Tija-Pora with Vishnu Bhaiya’ program organized at the Chief Minister’s residence. Addressing the women, Minister Rajwade said that the Vishnu Dev government is continuously empowering women and developing Chhattisgarh by giving the right price to the farmers for their crops. Along with this, Minister Rajwade also gave information about Sakhi Center, Nari Niketan, Shakti Sadan, Women Helpline Number.
Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai and Minister Laxmi Rajwada flagged off the Suposhan Rath and also released the poster of National Nutrition Month. The Suposhan Rath will travel to various villages of the state and spread the message of nutrition to the people. Films focused on nutrition will be screened in this Rath. Audio-video messages related to nutrition and health will be broadcast in various districts of the state through the Suposhan Rath.
In the program, Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai said that during the Nutrition Month this year, the focus is on anemia, growth monitoring, supplementary nutrition, nutrition as well as education, use of technology for quality service delivery and holistic nutrition. He said that Nutrition Month is being organized from 1 September 2024 to 30 September 2024 to widely disseminate messages related to health, nutrition and hygiene to the public so that various components of the community can participate in the journey of nutrition as a mass movement.
Minister Rajwada informed that health and nutrition related services are being provided to pregnant women, lactating women, children aged 0 to 06 years and adolescent girls through more than 52000 Anganwadi centres in the state. To achieve the goal of nutrition, positive behaviour change at community, family and individual level is also very important.
Various cultural programs were organized for mothers and sisters at the Chief Minister’s residence. Mothers and sisters enjoyed Pora Tihar by dancing and singing to the melodious performance by Chhattisgarh’s famous folk artist Aru Sahu and other artists. Mehndi was being made on the hands of women and they were also presented with lac bangles.
Deputy Chief Minister Arun Saw, Forest Minister Kedar Kashyap, Revenue Minister Tankaram Verma, Raipur MP Brijmohan Agarwal, Chief Minister’s wife Kaushalya Devi Sai, MLA Rajesh Munat, Anuj Sharma, Guru Khushwant Saheb, Purandar Mishra, Motilal Sahu, Gajendra Yadav, Indra Kumar Sahu along with other officials and women were present in the program.
