Sukma. In Chhattisgarh’s Naxal-affected Bijapur district, security forces have recovered sniper jackets, a large number of explosives and other items belonging to Naxalites in an operation. Police officials gave this information on Friday. Police officials said that a joint team of District Reserve Guard (DRG), Bastar Fighter and Central Reserve Police Force was sent on an anti-Naxal operation in the district. They said that when the team was in the Kangaltong forest on Thursday morning, the Naxalites fled from there after seeing the security forces.

He said that when the security forces conducted a search operation in the forest, a ‘dump’ (place for keeping goods) of the Naxalites was found there. Police officials said that the security forces have recovered three sniper jacket sets (a type of uniform), a large quantity of explosives, cartridges and other goods from the ‘dump’.

He said that sniper jackets are used to create concealment during an attack. He said that for the first time a set of sniper jackets has been recovered from the Naxal-affected area of ​​the state. Officials said that the operation against Naxals is continuing in the area.
