Bijapur. Security forces killed two Naxalites in an encounter in Naxal-affected Bijapur district of Chhattisgarh on Saturday. Police officials gave this information. Police officials said that two Naxalites were killed in an encounter by security forces in the forest of Pedia village in the district.

He told that on Friday, a joint team of Bijapur DRG, Bastar Fighters, Cobra Battalion of Central Reserve Police Force and STF was sent from Gangalur and Mutavendi under Gangalur police station area of ​​Bijapur for anti-Naxal operation.

Officials said that along with this, teams of Sukma and Dantewada DRG, Bastar Fighters and CRPF were sent from Silger under Jagargunda police station area of ​​Sukma district for the operation. He told that during the operation today at around 8.30 am, when the DRG soldiers of Bijapur and Sukma districts were patrolling in the forest of Pedia village, the Naxalites started firing on the soldiers. After this the soldiers also retaliated.

Officials said that after the encounter, when the soldiers searched the spot, bodies and weapons of two Naxalites were recovered from there. He told that security forces personnel are continuously on anti-Naxal operation in the area. Officials said that earlier on Friday at around 10 pm, during the operation, two soldiers of Bastar Fighters (Dantewada), constable Rakesh Kumar, were hit by a pressure bomb planted by Naxalites in the forest of Doditumnar village under Jagargunda police station area of ​​Sukma district. Markam and Vikas Kumar Karma were injured. The injured soldiers have been sent to Raipur for treatment. The condition of the injured soldiers is out of danger.
