Amritsar. Border Security Force (BSF) personnel shot dead a Pakistani intruder at the India-Pakistan international border in Punjab. A BSF spokesperson gave this information on Tuesday. The officer said that the person was seen crossing the international border in Ratan Khurd village area of Amritsar district at around 9.15 pm on Monday night and he reached near the border fence. The spokesperson said that even after being challenged by the soldiers, the intruder continued to move forward and was showing aggressive attitude.
He said, “The soldiers on duty shot the advancing intruder and killed him on the spot.” According to the BSF, Pakistani currency worth Rs 270 and a half torn note of Rs 10 were recovered from him. Police said that the body has been handed over to the local Gharinda police station.
