While presenting the budget in the House, Finance Minister Chaudhary said that under PM Modi's Mahtari Vandan Yojana, eligible women will be given Rs 12,000 in a year i.e. Rs 1000 every month. A provision of Rs 117 crore has been made for this.
A provision of Rs 561 crore has been made to provide employment to women through self-help groups. He said that a provision of Rs 50 crore has been made to build Gram Panchayat level Mahila Sadan.
