Mumbai: 18 passengers were injured, of which eight are critical, when a bus collided with a parked truck on the Mumbai-Pune Expressway near Khopoli in Maharashtra’s Raigad district in the early hours of Saturday. Police gave this information.
An official said, “The private bus going from Kolhapur to Mumbai collided with a stationary truck. This accident happened when the driver lost control of the bus.
He said that 18 passengers were injured in this incident and they have been admitted to MGM Hospital in Kamothe in Raigarh district. Four women are also among the injured. He said that the condition of eight injured is critical.
The official said that due to this accident, the movement of vehicles on the route was affected, but the officials soon controlled the situation and the traffic started moving smoothly. According to the official, Khopoli police is investigating the incident.
