Divine scored 79 runs in 86 balls with the help of seven fours and one six. She made an important partnership of 82 runs for the fifth wicket with Maddy Green (42 off 41 balls) and took New Zealand to a big score.
New Zealand’s openers Suzie Bates (58 runs on 70 balls) and Georgia Plimmer (41 runs on 50 balls), who came to bat first, gave a great start to the team by making a partnership of 87 runs in 16 overs. However, India made a good comeback after this by taking three wickets. Radha Yadav gave India its first success by taking an excellent catch of Georgia Plimmer off the ball of Deepti Sharma.
