Raipur. Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai said that the Government of India and the Government of Chhattisgarh are committed to the all-round development of the tribal society. He said that many public welfare schemes are being run by the Central and State Government for the overall development of the tribal society. Today, Sai was addressing the conference of Tribal Pride Day and Kanwar Samaj organized in village Bhathagaon (B) of Gunderdehi development block of Balod district.
On this occasion, the Chief Minister mentioned the bravery and valor of Dharti Aba Bhagwan Birsa Munda and said that he fought against the British rule to protect his identity, culture and motherland and was martyred at the young age of 25. Chief Minister Sai sanctioned Rs 25 lakh for the governmentization of the Higher Secondary School run by the Kanwar community in village Bhathagaon B and renovation of the school building, Rs 50 lakh for the construction of a social building of the tribal Pankra Kanwar community in village Rengakathera of Gunderdehi development block and Ward No. of Gunderdehi. In 10, an amount of Rs 10 lakh was announced for the construction of Ram Satta Sthal of Ram Temple. State President of Kanwar Samaj, Harbansh Miri, presided over the program.

Chief Minister Sai said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has decided to celebrate 15th November, the birth anniversary of Lord Birsa Munda, as Tribal Pride Day to make the entire country and the world as well as the future generation aware of the glorious story of tribal society and tribal heroes. Chief Minister Sai appreciated the contribution of Shaheed Thaman Singh Thakur and Zamindar Late Dau Girdhari Singh of village Bhathagaon (B) for the spread of education in the village and before reaching the program, he visited their Samadhi and paid floral tributes to them. On this occasion, SAI observed and appreciated the stalls set up by various departments at the venue.
