Chhattisgarh government pays tribute to two ITBP jawans martyred in Narayanpur blast

Raipur. The Chhattisgarh government on Sunday paid tribute to two Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) soldiers who were martyred in a landmine blast in Narayanpur district. A government official gave this information. State Sports and Youth Welfare Minister Tank Ram Verma was present at the tribute meeting organized at the 4th Battalion of Chhattisgarh Armed Forces (CAF) at Mana Camp on the outskirts of Raipur.

ITBP jawans Amar Panwar and K. were killed in an explosion in a landmine made by Naxalites in Narayanpur district. Rajesh was martyred and two policemen were injured. The martyred soldiers were 36 years old and belonged to the 53rd battalion. Verma said, “We pay tribute to the soldiers who sacrificed their lives in the fight against Naxalism.

Since the formation of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government in Chhattisgarh, action has been taken against Naxalites and their numbers have decreased. The state government is working to free the state from Naxalites.” Panwar was a resident of Satara in Maharashtra and Rajesh was a resident of Kadapa in Andhra Pradesh. His mortal remains have been taken to his native places by special aircraft.
