Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai today inaugurated the statewide grand festival of paddy procurement from farmers at support price in the state of Chhattisgarh from Bhanthagaon (B) paddy procurement center of Balod district. With this, the procurement of paddy from farmers has started in the state today on 14th November, which will continue till 31st January 2025. After reaching Bhanthagaon (B) procurement centre, Chief Minister Sai worshiped the electronic weighing and other instruments and welcomed the farmers present there by garlanding them. The Chief Minister congratulated and congratulated the farmer brothers for the inauguration of the Paddy Procurement Festival.

In the presence of the Chief Minister, Bhagbali, a farmer of village Bhanthagaon, sold a total of 148 quintals and Hariram sold 65 quintals of 20 kg paddy. Farmers Bhagbali and Hariram looked very happy after getting the opportunity to sell their paddy before the Chief Minister. Tokens of a total of 06 farmers have been deducted for purchasing paddy in the said procurement center on 14th November. On this occasion, Chief Minister Sai also inaugurated the new branch building of District Service Cooperative Central Bank Branch Maryadit Durg, constructed at a cost of Rs 30 lakh in village Mohandipat of Gunderdehi development block. Earlier, Chief Minister Sai garlanded the oil painting of Chhattisgarh Mahtari. At the venue, Chief Minister Sai inaugurated the program by lighting the lamp on the oil paintings of martyr Birsa Munda and Gahira Guru.

It is noteworthy that paddy will be purchased at support price from registered farmers in Chhattisgarh state till January 31, 2025. The state government has ensured payment to the farmers in their bank account within 72 hours for the paddy sold by them. 2,739 have been established for paddy procurement in the state. This year, the total area of ​​paddy sown by 27,01,109 registered farmers for selling paddy is 34,51,729 hectares. Among the registered farmers, there are 1,35,891 new farmers.

MP Bhojraj Nag, MLA Kunwar Singh Nishad, District Panchayat President Sonadevi Deshalhara, former MLA Birendra Sahu and Rajendra Rai, State President of Kanwar Samaj Harbansh Miri, Senior Public Representative Pawan Sahu, former District Panchayat President Devlal Thakur, District President of Kanwar Samaj were present in the program.
