Raipur. Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai today ran a race for the unity and integrity of the nation along with the people of the capital in Telibandha pond of the capital Raipur. On this occasion, he said that the Run for Unity organized on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel inspires all of us to move forward unitedly. During this, the Chief Minister flagged off the Unity Run. Along with the Chief Minister, Cabinet Minister Ram Vichar Netam, Minister Shyam Bihari Jaiswal, Tankram Verma, Minister Smt. Lakshmi Rajwade, MLA Sarvapurandar Mishra, Motilal Sahu, Guru Khushwant Saheb also ran the unity race.
Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai started his address in the Run for Unity program by remembering the virtues of Iron Man Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. He said that during the British rule, Sardar Patel led many major movements against the British. After independence, due to his efforts, the princely states were united and included in independent India. Sai said that Sardar Patel dedicated his life to keep the integrity of India intact. He said that Run for Unity inspires all the people to move forward unitedly. The Chief Minister said that the determination and courage with which Sardar Patel united the nation is inspiring for all of us. The objective of organizing Run for Unity is also to spread the mantra of fitness across the country. If everyone remains healthy, the country will be able to move forward rapidly on the path of development with its full energy. On this occasion, the Chief Minister wished everyone on Dhanteras, Diwali, State Establishment, Annakoot and Chhath Mahaparva.
Minister Ram Vichar Netam wished everyone a Happy National Unity Day. He said that this auspicious day inspires us to maintain the unity and integrity of our country. We Indians can never forget the contribution of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.
Sports Minister Tankram Verma said that Run for Unity gives the message of unity, integrity and security of the country. Sardar Patel united more than 500 princely states for the integrity of the country. He said that the goal set by our country’s illustrious Prime Minister Narendra Modi of making a developed India by 2047, we all should move forward together to fulfill it. It is noteworthy that this year, in view of the celebration of Diwali, National Unity Day and Run for Unity was organized on 29th October.
