Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai gave incentives worth Rs. 26 lakh to meritorious children of construction workers

Raipur: Before the Jan Darshan program organized at the Chief Minister’s residence office today, Chief Minister Vishnudev provided assistance of Rs 26 lakh to the meritorious children of registered construction workers under the Noni-Babu Medhavi Shiksha Sahayata Yojana and congratulated and wished them for higher education. Labor Minister Shri Lakhan Lal Devangan was present in the program.

Chief Minister Sai distributed cheques of Rs 2 lakh each under the Noni-Babu Medhavi Shiksha Sahayata Yojana to 13 meritorious children of registered workers who secured top 10 positions in the 10th and 12th board examinations. At the beginning of the programme, Chief Minister Sai paid tribute to Swami Vivekananda by offering flowers to his portrait on his death anniversary.

Out of the amount of two lakh rupees provided to the meritorious children, one lakh rupees was given as incentive and one lakh rupees to buy a scooty. It is worth mentioning here that under the scheme, the children of registered construction workers, who are studying in class 10th and 12th in the academic session 2023-24 and are in the top-10 list in the examination year 2023-24 conducted by Chhattisgarh Board of Secondary Education, have been benefited under this scheme.
