Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai met Union Home Minister Amit Shah

Raipur. Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai met Union Home Minister Amit Shah in North Block, New Delhi today. Development, security and other major issues of the state were discussed in the meeting.

During the meeting, Chief Minister Sai informed about the progress of the operations being conducted in Naxal affected areas and the action of security forces. The Chief Minister said that many important steps are being taken by the state government in the fields of road construction, education, health and employment, due to which positive changes are taking place in the Naxal affected areas. The Home Minister appreciated these efforts and assured all possible cooperation from the Centre. Naxal eradication strategies were also discussed in the meeting.

Sai told reporters, “I met Home Minister Amit Shah and informed him about the activities of Naxalites in the state. Under his guidance and on the strength of the double engine government, we are fighting the Naxalites strongly.” He said that they are working to realize the resolve of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Home Minister to end Naxalism by March 2026. On the security front, our government has achieved great success in anti-Naxal operations. In the last 11 months, about 200 Naxalites have been killed, while more than 700 Naxalites have surrendered.

A statement issued by the Chhattisgarh government said, “Under the leadership of the Prime Minister and the Home Minister, our government is moving towards fulfilling the resolve to end Naxalism by March 2026.” It said the Chief Minister also highlighted the progress of major initiatives related to roads, education, healthcare and employment in Naxal-affected areas.

The statement said that the Chief Minister also informed Shah about the progress of the operations being conducted in Naxal-affected areas and the action of the security forces. According to the statement, “The Home Minister appreciated these efforts and assured all possible cooperation from the Centre. “Strategies to eradicate Naxal were also discussed in the meeting.”
