Children are our future, it is our responsibility to provide better education environment and prepare resources for them: Bhupesh Baghel

Raipur. In today’s era, it is necessary to create an environment of education in schools. Children have to pay attention to sports and discipline along with education. One has to understand the value of time in student life itself. Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel said these things today at Professor JN Pandey Government Excellent Hindi Medium School on the occasion of inauguration of education session 2023-24 and school entrance festival. The Chief Minister said in his address that every school is a temple of education and this temple should also always be kept clean and tidy. In his address, the Chief Minister said that with the opening of Swami Atmanand schools, the trend towards education has again increased in the state and at present people of every class are trying to get their children educated in these schools.

The Chief Minister made the students enter the school by applying Tilak and feeding them sweets

On the occasion of school entrance festival, the Chief Minister made the school children enter the school by applying tilak, garlanding them and feeding them sweets. On this occasion, the Chief Minister also distributed uniforms, books and school bags to the school children. Congratulating the students, teachers, principals and parents on the beginning of the new education session and the school entrance festival, the Chief Minister said that these children are our future and it is our responsibility to provide proper environment to these children so that they remain engaged in studies. .

An amount of Rs 5 crore has been approved for the renovation of the school.

While approving an amount of Rs. 5 crore for the renovation of the historical Prof. JN Pandey Government Excellent Hindi Medium School, the Chief Minister said that money will never come in the way of making the temples of education strong and beautiful. The Chief Minister said that he had sanctioned an amount of Rs 1200 crore in the budget for the renovation and repair of schools in the state. At present work is going on in 23 thousand schools with this amount.

Pro. JN Pandey School is a historical school. This school was established in the year 1864 and this school has also been affiliated with Calcutta University and Allahabad University. This school has given four chief ministers to the state. Self. Pt. Ravi Shankar Shukla, self. Dwarka Prasad Mishra, Late. Shyama Charan Shukla and Late. Moti Lal Vora has been a student of this school. Along with this, former Vice President of the country Late. Hidayatullah has also been a student of this school.

Quality of government schools increased, competition for admission
Addressing the program, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel said that today, as a result of the efforts of our government, the level of education has become uniform in the entire state. Arrangements have been made for good school buildings, Swami Atmanand School and teachers for the education of children from Sukma to Jashpur. Today kindergartens and English medium schools have been opened like private schools. Adequate resources have been given in these and they are not only competing with private schools but are also moving ahead of them.

He said that the first day when RD Tiwari went to the school, he found here that the registered number of children in this school was 56. After the formation of Swami Atmanand School, now the registered number of children there has increased to more than one thousand. Due to our efforts, today the situation is such that earlier people used to try to get children admitted in big private schools, now the situation has changed, parents are making recommendations to get their children admitted in Swami Atmanand School. But we have decided that admission in these schools will be done as per rules, so that everyone can get equal opportunity of education. Chief Minister Baghel said that currently 377 English medium and 350 Hindi medium schools are being run in the state under Swami Atmanand Excellent School.

The Chief Minister said that a few years back in the Naxalite area, the situation was such that the school building was broken, the children had missed their studies. We got school buildings constructed in Naxalite areas and started schools which were closed for years. He said that there is a great need of trained teachers for better education in schools. Keeping this requirement in mind, the recruitment of teachers was started for the first time after the formation of the state. In the first phase, by issuing advertisements for 14 thousand 580 posts, 10 thousand 834 teachers have been appointed in schools. In the second phase, 12 thousand 489 teachers are being appointed soon.

Chief Minister gave tips to the students

Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel gave tips to the students on the occasion of school entrance festival. He said that the students should always remain in discipline. Understand the value of time. Wake up on time in the morning, after that start the daily routine, focus your attention on studies in the class, read the syllabus taught by the teacher with interest. After leaving school, participate in sports activities to stay healthy. Keep this in mind that every aspect is important in life, but discipline is paramount. He said that from today onwards, if you focus on continuous studies, then there will be no pressure of examination.

The Chief Minister observed the exhibition put up by the children. He distributed cycles to the girl students of class 9th under the Saraswati Cycle Scheme.
