Hyderabad. Megastar K. Chiranjeevi on Sunday added the Guinness World Record for the most famous star of the Indian film industry. A representative of the Guinness World Records handed over the certificate related to this achievement to Chiranjeevi at an event held in Hyderabad.
According to the certificate, “Megastar actor/dancer Konidela Chiranjeevi is the most famous star of the Indian film industry, who achieved this feat on 20 September 2024.” Expressing gratitude to everyone, Chiranjeevi said, “I never thought that I would have a Guinness World Record in my name. Dance had become a part of my life in a film career of so many years.” Sources close to the actor said, “Megastar Chiranjeevi did more than 24,000 ‘dance steps’ on 537 songs in 156 films in a career spanning 45 years. The actor entered the world of acting on 22 September 1978.” Bollywood actor Aamir Khan, who shared the stage with Chiranjeevi in the program, called himself a big fan of Chiranjeevi.
Aamir said, “I see him as my elder brother. I am very happy that Chiranjeevi garu is being given this honour and I was really thrilled to know about it. If you see him in any of his songs, you will know that he dances ‘Dil Se’ and enjoys it a lot.” Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy congratulated Chiranjeevi in a post on ‘X’ and said, “It is a matter of pride for Telugu people that popular film actor Konidela Chiranjeevi has got a place in the Guinness Book of World Records.” Chiranjeevi is known for his powerful performances in successful films like ‘Rudra Veena’, ‘Indra’, ‘Tagore’, ‘Swayam Krishi’, ‘Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy’, ‘Stalin’ and ‘Gang Leader’. He was awarded the Padma Vibhushan, the country’s second highest civilian honour this year.
