Chandauli: Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Monday claimed that after the results of the Lok Sabha elections are declared on June 4, the blame for the Congress’ defeat will not fall on party leaders Rahul Gandhi and his sister Priyanka Gandhi Vadra but on Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge and he will lose his job.
Shah addressed election rallies organised in support of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidates from Kushinagar, Salempur and Chandauli Lok Sabha seats. The Home Minister claimed that even after this Lok Sabha election, Narendra Modi will become the Prime Minister and the Congress people will blame the Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs).
He said, “Modi ji’s and BJP’s victory is certain on June 4. You will see on the afternoon of the 4th, Rahul baba’s people will hold a press conference saying that we lost because of EVMs. The blame for the defeat will not fall on the brother-sister (Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra). This blame will fall on Kharge sahab and he is going to lose his job.” Shah claimed, “The six-phase election is over.
I have data of five phases. Modi ji has won 310 seats in five phases. The sixth phase is over. Now the seventh is about to happen. You people have to cross 400.” He claimed, “I will tell you the result of the 4th. Rahul baba, your party will not even get 40 seats and Akhilesh babu (Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav), if I talk to you with sympathy, you will not even get four seats.”
Shah alleged that if the people ‘even by mistake’ voted for SP and Congress, the reservation for backward, extremely backward and Dalit classes will be snatched away and given to Muslims. The same thing has been done in Karnataka and Hyderabad. It was done in Bengal too but the High Court put a stop to it.
He said that Muslim reservation is not constitutional. The opposition talks about Muslim reservation to revive its vote bank, the direct brunt of which will be borne by the backward classes. As long as Prime Minister Narendra Modi is there, reservation for backward classes cannot be touched.
The Home Minister said that if the opposition coalition forms the government, Article 370 will be restored in Kashmir, the triple talaq system will be brought back, talks with terrorists will begin and the ‘Babri lock’ will be put on the Ram temple.
Accusing the SP of firing on the kar sevaks in Ayodhya, he said that this election is between those who fired on the kar sevaks and those who will build the Ram temple. Shah claimed that the Congress kept the Ram temple issue hanging for 70 years. But Modi did the Bhoomi Pujan for the temple in five years and also did its Pran-Pratishtha. Apart from this, he got the Kashi Vishwanath temple built which was demolished by Aurangzeb and the Somnath temple is also being built of gold.
He said, “The Congress party is scaring us that Pakistan has the atom bomb. Do not ask them for the Kashmir occupied by Pakistan. Hey Rahul Baba… your party must be scared of the atom bomb. We are from the BJP, we are not scared. The Kashmir occupied by Pakistan is and will remain India’s, and we will take it.”
Shah claimed that Prime Minister Modi has ended terrorism and Naxalism. On one hand there are two princes (Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav) who have committed a scam of Rs 12 lakh crore, while on the other hand Modi is not even accused of a scam of 25 paise.
He alleged, “The opposition alliance is a gathering of nepotists. Their aim is to make their sons, daughters and nephews the chief minister. Can those who work for their sons and daughters do any good to you? Only the one whose family is India of 130 crore people can do good to you. That person is Narendra Modi.”
Shah said, “Rahul Gandhi used to say that if Article 370 is removed from Kashmir, there will be bloodshed in Jammu and Kashmir, but after its removal, no one could dare to throw even a single stone there.”
He said that during the previous Congress government, terrorists used to come from Pakistan and leave after carrying out explosions in the country. After Modi came to power, Pakistan attacked Uri and Pulwama, after which surgical and air strikes were carried out in their area. “Voting will be held on June 1 in the seventh and final phase for Kushinagar, Ballia and Chandauli Lok Sabha seats.
