Court’s decision on NEET is a defeat of Congress’ petty politics: Pradhan

The Uncut

New Delhi. Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Thursday said the Supreme Court’s verdict on the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET)-UG case was not a defeat of students but a defeat of the “irresponsible attitude” and “petty politics” of the Congress.
He alleged that the Congress is the “father” of paper leak and corruption.

Pradhan wrote on ‘X’, “The Supreme Court has clearly stated that no systematic violations have been found in the sanctity of the examination. Does the Congress not trust the Government of India, but does it not trust the Hon’ble High Court? The Supreme Court’s decision on the NEET case is not a defeat of the students but of the irresponsible attitude, sophistry and petty politics of the Congress.” The Education Minister questioned Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge about the paper leak that took place when his party was in power in Rajasthan.

He said sarcastically, “Is Kharge ji not aware of the paper leaks that happened before the BJP government came to power in Rajasthan? Why did Kharge ji keep mum on the paper leaks that happened during his government? Congress is the originator of paper leaks and corruption.” Pradhan said, “The people of the country have rejected Congress for the third time in a row. Congress is unable to digest the defeat for the third time in a row. To make political gains and save its rapidly slipping political ground, Congress has only the support of lies, half truths and anarchy.”

In a major setback to unsuccessful NEET-UG 2024 candidates, the Supreme Court on Tuesday dismissed petitions seeking cancellation and re-conduct of the controversial exam, saying there was no evidence on record to conclude that it was “vitiated” due to “systematic violation” of its sanctity.

The decision comes as a relief to the NDA government and the National Testing Agency (NTA), which were facing severe criticism and protests on the streets and in Parliament over allegations of large-scale malpractices like question paper leak, cheating and impersonation in the prestigious exam held on May 5.

Pradhan alleged, “Kharge ji, neither you, nor your leader Rahul Gandhi, nor your party is concerned about the future of students. You are only concerned about your future and the future of one family.” He said, “Such tampering with facts and truth is a big question mark on your intelligence. Stop tarnishing the image of India’s examination system and playing with the future of students.”
