New Delhi: The Supreme Court on Friday adjourned the hearing on the petition filed by Delhi Chief Minister Atishi and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Arvind Kejriwal challenging the High Court order in a defamation case.

The two leaders had challenged the High Court’s order refusing to quash the defamation case against them over their comments regarding alleged deletion of names of 30 lakh voters from certain communities from the electoral rolls.

The court had dismissed the petition filed by Atishi, Kejriwal and two other AAP leaders – former Rajya Sabha member Sushil Kumar Gupta and party leader Manoj Kumar – challenging the defamation proceedings pending before the trial court.
