Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai is continuously living up to their expectations. Even amidst his busy schedule, he keeps taking out time to visit his home village Bagiya in Jashpur district. He keeps meeting people at his Chief Minister’s residence office in Raipur and is always ready to solve their problems. Chief Minister Sai has also established the Chief Minister Camp Office in Bagiya. Apart from Jashpur district, people from all over the state are coming here with full hope and their health, education, electricity, water or other problems are being solved at a rapid pace. About 250 gram panchayats of Jashpur district have elephant roaming areas. The aim of the camp office is to further improve the electricity system in these elephant affected areas. According to experts, there is less possibility of elephants infiltrating the colony when there is light. The elephant can be seen from a distance. To further strengthen the electricity system, new postings are being made in regional offices in Kunkuri areas. In the last 9 months, more than 600 transformers have been replaced in Jashpur district by the Electricity Department and more than 130 new transformers have been installed. Along with this, power sub-stations have been established. To ensure that the electricity flows at an uninterrupted pace, the work of laying new lines, cables, grip change etc. is also being done continuously by the department.
To improve health facilities, on the initiative of Chief Minister Sai, 18 ABBS and 7 specialist doctors have been appointed in Jashpur district. Apart from this, along with the approval for establishment of new health centres, medical equipment is being purchased and other employees are being appointed. As per the instructions of Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai, Swasthya Mitan Helpline is being operated in the district with the joint efforts of the district administration and the health department. With its help, so far more than 1025 patients have got health benefits. For this, first of all the applicants submit the application in the Bagiya Camp office. After the application is submitted, immediate action is taken within 5 minutes. On the initiative of the Chief Minister, a 220 bedded well-equipped hospital has been approved at Kunkuri at a cost of Rs 32 crore.
Similarly, on the initiative of Chief Minister Sai, approval is being given continuously for construction of roads, bridges and culverts to build a strong infrastructure in the district. Roads, bridges and culverts are being constructed in remote villages and cities. For the convenience of farmers, construction of anicut scheme in the district, construction of diversion scheme, renovation and lining work, canal repair and CC lining work of reservoir scheme, repair of main and branch canal, improvement of old concrete works, pond scheme. Under this, administrative approval has been received for construction, reservoir planning and survey work of reservoir medium project. With the completion of these works, more irrigation facilities will be available to the farmers of the district. Along with this, fishermen will also be able to do fish farming. This will provide additional income to farmers. Besides, the water resources in the district will also increase.
Under this, the state government is creating sports grounds and other infrastructure for better sports environment and facilities for the players in the district. An amount of Rs 2 crore 83 lakh has been sanctioned for the construction of badminton court in the garden. The state government has announced that players of Chhattisgarh will be given an amount of Rs 3 crore for winning gold medal in the Olympics, Rs 2 crore for winning silver medal and Rs 1 crore for winning bronze medal. This will give a big encouragement to the players. Jashpur region has had a special identity in the selection for competitive examinations since the time of undivided Madhya Pradesh. In order to provide facilities to the students of Jashpur district to prepare for competitive examinations, on the initiative of Chief Minister Sai, approval has been given for a 500 seater library in Jashpur city and a 200 seater library in Kunkuri on the lines of Nalanda campus library of Raipur. Under this, work is being done for development in special backward tribe areas in the district under PM Janman Yojana. This scheme has accelerated the development of these areas.
