Dhamtari: An unknown miscreant duped a grocery shop owner of Rs 2500 in Farasgaon of the district. The accused offered to give the shop owner Rs 500 in change and then fled from the spot after giving him fake notes. A video of this incident has gone viral in which the victim shop owner is seen narrating his ordeal. The incident is from Sihawa police station area.
Let us tell you that the name of the victim shop owner is Dayaram Markam. The victim told that this morning an unknown person came to the shop and on the pretext of paying the workers, first started asking for ₹3000 in cash. On refusal, he asked for ₹2500 in cash. After giving the cash, he was hesitant to return the money. When he asked again and took out the money from his purse, he started pretending to sort out the notes. Finally, he took out the money from his shirt’s upper pocket and gave it to him and immediately left the spot.
All notes have a serial number
The most shocking thing in this incident is that the serial number of all the fake notes given by the miscreant to the shopkeeper is the same, but the shopkeeper did not pay any attention to this. After leaving the spot with the change, some time later the shopkeeper found out that the notes were fake, but by the time the shopkeeper could catch him, the miscreant had disappeared. After this case came to light, there is concern about the increasing activities of cunning criminals who circulate fake notes in rural areas.
