Dhamtari: Theft cases in Kurud and Kachana have been revealed. According to the police, Rajesh Kumar Sahu had gone to his native village Gobara Navapara (Bagdehipara) after locking his house with his wife and children. On 07.04.24 at 09.00 am when he returned, he found the lock of the main gate of the house broken. When he went inside the house, the door and cupboard were open. The gold and silver jewellery and cash kept in the cupboard, totaling Rs. 8 lakh (8 lakh), was missing. On the report of theft by some unknown thief, a case number 301/24 under sections 305 (a), 331 (3) BNS was registered and investigation was taken up in Kurud police station.
During the investigation, informer information, CCTV footage and technical evidence were being closely observed. On 26.07.2024, on the basis of informer information, the suspects Sagar Nirmalkar, Suraj Sahu, Ashish Devangan were caught and questioned, who told that in the intervening night of 06,07/07/2024, they broke the lock of an empty house in Canal Road Amrit Vihar Colony Kurud and entered the house and stole the gold-silver and cash kept in the cupboard. And on 11.07.24, they broke the lock of the shutter of Sahu Hotel at Bus Stand Kachana and entered the shop and tried to steal. And on presenting the gold-silver stolen from Kurud, the motorcycle used in the incident, the electronic cutter machine with battery, the same were seized and taken into police custody as per the seizure sheet.
The accused are being arrested and sent on judicial remand. Arrested accused (01). Sagar Nirmalkar father Narottam Nirmalkar age 21 years resident of Durganagar Amleswar District Durg. (02). Suraj Sahu father Nandkumar Sahu age 25 years resident of Durganagar Amleswar District Durg. (03). Ashish alias Sunny Devangan father Gajanand Devangan age 21 years resident of Durganagar Amleswar District Durg.
