Chennai. Tamil Nadu’s ruling Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) said that actor-politician Vijay-led party ‘Tamizhaga Vetri Kazhagam’ (TVK) has copied the ideology of DMK. On the other hand, the main opposition party All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) said that the principles of TVK are a mix of the current political views of various parties. While Vijay openly targeted DMK during his public address on Sunday, the ruling party hit back saying that it has seen many rivals in its long innings and it will remain strong.
When asked about TVK’s ideology, DMK leader TKS Elangovan said, “These are all our policies, he is copying them… Whatever he is saying, we have said the same before and we will also follow them.” Have been.” Talking about the first conference of Vijay’s party, he told PTI Video, “This is the first conference and let’s see, we have seen many parties.” Referring to the strong ideology of his party and the work done during its long journey of 75 years. While speaking, Elangovan said that DMK leaders went to jail while fighting for the public interest and although the party lost many elections, it still remained strong.
He said DMK was founded fighting for the people’s issues while Vijay’s party aspires to come to power in 2026 soon after entering politics. Elangovan said that TVK leaders will not go to jail and fight for the people like DMK leaders.
“This is the difference between HLDRMUK and other parties…we are strong, we work for the people, we are for the people,” he said. AIADMK spokesperson Kovai Sathyan congratulated Vijay on his entry into politics and said, They still have a long way to go and something to do. Responding to a question about the actor-politician supporting the caste census, he said that the TVK chief has talked about many topics and we will also discuss with him about these topics so that he can do these tasks. Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader H. Raja said that ideologically BJP is nationalist and our vote bank will not be affected by TVK. He said that Vijay’s party can only divide the votes of Dravidian parties and weaken the DMK. Raja told reporters, ‘I hope that Vijay will help us by speaking on the Dravidian ideology and divide the votes.’ BJP leader Tamilisai Soundararajan congratulated TVK for its first convention and said the party stands against the ‘rise’ .
