Virendra Gahwai, Bilaspur. Due to the negligence of doctors, a wound was formed in the hand of a newborn baby during delivery, which led to gangrene. After which the situation reached such an extent that to save the life of the innocent child, his hand had to be amputated. Now the family members have accused the treating doctor of negligence and demanded an investigation, and have also demanded compensation from the collector for making the newborn child disabled. On the complaint of the family members, the Collector has said that an investigation will be conducted and action will be taken against the hospital management if found guilty.
Let us tell you that Sukhiram, a resident of Janakpur in Manendragarh-Chirimiri area, is a forest guard. His wife was pregnant, so he brought Sims to deliver her in the month of June. After delivery here, his wife gave birth to a newborn baby. During this time, he got a wound on his hand, which gradually spread to the palm and caused gangrene in his hand.
Sukhiram told that the SIMS doctors did not treat the wound in his son's hand properly and referred him to a private hospital. After this he admitted the child to Lotus Hospital. Here too, the doctors were negligent in the treatment, due to which the child's wound developed gangrene and spread to the top of the palm. When the child's condition became serious, the Lotus Hospital management gave up, so the family took the child to Nagpur. Where the doctors advised to save the life of the child by amputating his hand, after which the child was treated and after the operation his hand had to be amputated.)
Family members appealed to the collector for justice
Sukhiram, father of the innocent child hurt by this incident, said that we complained about this to the police but no action was taken, we had also complained to the then Collector of Bilaspur. Whose investigation has not been completed yet. After which he has now approached the new District Collector Avnish Sharan, accusing the doctor of negligence and requesting him to investigate the matter and get compensation for making the newborn child disabled. Collector Avneesh Sharan has taken cognizance of the matter and said that the matter will be investigated and if found guilty, action will be taken against the hospital management.
