The first automated driving track of the division was to be built for years at Sargipal, about 7-8 km from the divisional headquarters, which is currently in cold storage. About 3 years ago, drivers used to conduct trials for license on the road near the RTO office at Aadawal, but currently, due to lack of a driving track, drivers are being tested using computers in the office itself. In this way, in three years, the department has played with the lives of about 9000 drivers by making them driving licenses. It is being told that many drivers are getting their licenses made at the Transport Suvidha Kendra itself through agents without giving trials. Drivers have to go to the RTO office for a permanent license, in this way, drivers are getting driving licenses without giving trials.
Track The land was selected twice for
5 acres of land was decided 5 years ago near the transport office, which was allotted by the Revenue Department. This land was allotted for a playground by the District Administration and Revenue Department on behalf of Gram Panchayat Aadawal. After that, the Transport Department searched for land for a driving track, and found land in village Sargipal, about 7 km from Aadawal, which was allotted by the Revenue Department. The tender for the track was also done there, but due to the contractor’s arbitrariness, the construction work could not start.
108 drivers’ licenses suspended
It is being told that the RTO has suspended the licenses of 108 drivers who were involved in vehicle accidents and were driving against the rules on behalf of the police and traffic. On this, the employees of the Regional Transport Office of the Transport Department are working hard to give notices to such drivers, it is being told that most of the drivers’ licenses are from outside Bastar district and other states like Bhind Morena, Punjab, Jharkhand, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh etc. After three months, after paying the challan afresh, these drivers will be able to get their licenses back from the police stations.

Regional Transport Officer DC Banjare said in this regard that the first driving track of the division will be built in village Sargipal, the agency for this has been decided. Due to the arbitrariness of the contractor, the construction work of the driving track could not be done till now, for this the contractor was instructed to start the construction work soon. Due to the absence of a track, licenses are being given by taking the examination of drivers on the computer.
