Sukma. Security forces have arrested eight Naxalites in Naxal-affected Sukma district of Chhattisgarh. Police officials gave this information on Wednesday. Police officials said that security forces have arrested eight Naxalites in Konta, Chintagufa and Chintalnar police station areas of the district.
He said that the security forces have arrested six Naxalites from Chintalnar police station and one Naxal each from Konta and Chintagufa police station areas. Police officials said that on receiving information about Naxalite activity in Chintalnar police station area, a joint team of District Force, District Reserve Force and Central Reserve Police Force was sent for patrolling on Tuesday. During patrolling, security forces arrested six Naxalites from the forest of Surpanguda village.
He told that when the security forces searched the captured Naxalites, two detonators and other explosive items were recovered from them. Police officials said that earlier on Monday, security forces had arrested one Naxalite in Chintagufa police station area and one Naxalite in Konta police station area. He told that all the arrested Naxalites were active in the area for the last 10 years. During this period he has been involved in many Naxalite incidents. Officials said that the operation against Naxalites is going on in the area.
