England: Former batsman and Surrey veteran cricketer Graham Thorpe is no more in this world. Graham Thorpe died at the age of 55. Graham Thorpe turned 55 just 4 days ago on August 1 and now he is no more in this world.

Graham Thorpe was ill for a long time. His illness has not been disclosed. The England Cricket Board informed on Monday that Surrey’s legendary batsman Graham Thorpe has passed away.

Graham Thorpe’s career

Graham Thorpe played 100 Tests for England in which he scored 6744 runs. This left-handed batsman scored 16 centuries and 39 half-centuries. Apart from this, Thorpe scored 2380 runs with the help of 21 half-centuries in 82 ODIs for England. Thorpe was a legend of the English county team. He scored 21937 runs with the help of 49 centuries in 341 first class matches. He also scored 10871 runs in List A in which 9 centuries came from his bat. Thorpe scored a total of 58 centuries in his professional career.

Played cricket with legends like Sachin-Sehwag

Graham Thorpe also played cricket with legends like Sachin-Sehwag. He scored 283 runs in 5 Tests against Team India at an average of more than 35. In ODIs, this player scored 328 runs against Team India at an average of more than 36. This player’s average against Team India was definitely good but he could never score a century.
