Amethi: In a village of Munshiganj police station area of Amethi district, a farmer, who had gone to his field during the rain on Friday morning, died after getting electrocuted.
Police gave this information. According to the police, Ajay Kumar (42), a farmer from Ghatampur village of Munshiganj police station area, had gone to look for water in his fields this morning amid heavy rains in the district since Thursday night. Meanwhile, he slipped and fell due to the wire of a machine and got seriously injured.
He told that the family took the farmer to Community Health Center Bhetua for treatment, where doctors declared him dead. Munshiganj police station in-charge Inspector Prem Chand said that the matter is being investigated by sending the body for post-mortem.
